5 Free SEO Tools For Real Estate Agents

I will just list the 5 free tools right now in case you don’t have time to read the whole post. Some of these tools are chrome extensions and others are web sites.

  1. Keywords Everywhere (Chrome extension)
  2. TubeBuddy (Chrome Extension for Youtube)
  3. Google Trends
  4. MOZ
  5. Website Grader from Hubspot.

These are the main 5 free SEO tools I use. There are others but I haven’t got around to using them yet. I know Neil Patel has some really useful tools that looked really interesting, like ubersuggest. From what I’ve heard his tools are great.

Keywords Everywhere

This Chrome extension is awesome. It draws information from Google and other sites and displays information about the searches. If you type a search in Google is will tell you the amount of searches per month and the keyword competition score.

5 Free SEO Tools For Real Estate Agents

This tool is not 100 percent accurate. It draws its data from Google’s APIs and search volume numbers Google releases. I believe it also uses data from Google Ads.

As with any free tool you should not put all your faith into it. Use it alongside other free tools to get a clear picture of the search data.

Each free toll does the same thing in a slightly different way. You get good snippets of data from each one and can piece together a more accurate picture.

There are better tools out there that you can pay for but today we are just featuring the best free tools for SEO.

TubeBuddy

If you are posting youtube videos, which you should be, You need to use TubeBuddy.

Check out my post on how to use Youtube!

This is another Chrome extension and works almost the same way as Keywords Everywhere except it is specifically for Youtube. It is a game changer if you want to have success with Youtube. It will tell you how to title your videos and what the best wording is.

It will show you how competitive your title is and will give you an overall score based on competitiveness, traffic numbers, and optimization. Here is an example of what the keyword search interface looks like.

youtube Tools

This is just one small part of the tool. There are so many great features in the free version of TubeBuddy. We should probably do a whole post just on this app that’s how great it is.

It will tell you the tags you should be using and give you the best practices for youtube. I saw a huge jump in traffic after I started using this extension. It is my favorite free tool right now.

Google Trends

This is a great tool to use in concert with other tools. It won’t give you traffic numbers but it will show you how a term is trending. You can also use it to compare terms against each other.

My favorite thing to do with people is to show them the trend for whatever service they provide and then put the word “best” before it. Then I explain why they need to be targeting “the best” and that’s why they need to hire me 😉

MOZ

Moz is a great SEO tool to find keywords and relative keywords. If you sign up for a free account you get so many searches per month. It’s not a lot of searches but it is still useful.

I’m not going to talk much about this one. It’s is self explanitory. It give you keyword search volume and competitiveness. There’s some interesting things you can do with it but I find myself using Keywords Everywhere more.

Website Grader by Hubspot

Last but not least we have this cool little tool from Hubspot. It is nothing life changing but I do use it all the time. Especially when I first build a website.

Website Grader will analyze your site and let you know if you have the basics right or not. They go over a few simple things and give you a score on each section.

In the Seo section they will tell you if you have your headers messed up. Or if your metadata is filled out wrong or missing. They won’t tell you exactly what page of your site is messed up but at least it will give you a clue so you know where to look.
