I'll trade you an email for a sample content calander!

It’s not always easy coming up with real estate website content ideas. Especially if you are in the thick of running your real estate business. We have compiled a few really good ideas to help you create great content. You can blog these or create Youtube videos. A great idea would be to do both. Let’s check out the best marketing ideas for real estate agents!

Real Estate Website Content Ideas

Real Estate Website Content IdeasHere are our top ideas to get you started creating content. These are a good place to start but I’m sure you can get much more creative. One thing to keep in the back of your mind. You want to create content that your target client wants to know.

Don’t get SO creative that you are totally out in left field and no one knows what you’re talking about.

No one needs to know about the way roof shingles are made. They just want to know how a new or old roof affects the price of a house.

Here’s a great list of easy content ideas!

Area or Town

This content idea alone could give you hundreds of topics.

  • Schools
  • Businesses
  • Churches
  • Parks
  • Attractions
  • Governments
  • Taxes
  • Community Events

If your community holds four big events a year that would fill 4 pieces of content. People want to know about the local area and community. This is a no brainer. The things you could do with video here could be epic.

The Current Market

Is the market going up or down in your area? Are rentals hot or is buying a house the best option. A quarterly post on which direction the market is headed is a good idea for content.

Everyone needs to know this info if they are buying and selling a house. Position yourself as an expert with this kind of content.

Interview Clients

This is a great way to tell people how awesome you are without doing it yourself. Interview your best clients who love you. If there was an issue with their house buying process then bring it up. Show how you worked through it. People want to see authenticity.

I’m sure there are a few great clients you’ve become friends with that would agree to be interviewed. Don’t stop at clients. What if you interviewed a mortgage lender, title agent, home inspector. You get the idea. I bet that would be original and interesting to a new home buyer.

Take all the questions you’ve received from buyers and sellers and make a list. There is 2 posts at minimum. If you have a lot of questions you could space them out and do 3 or 5 questions per post.

People love FAQs and it’s an easy way to create content.

Post your listings. But go easy with this one. There’s listings and listing sites everywhere. You don’t want to end up just being another listing site. Only post your best listings. I see agents who deal in the high end luxury market and out of the blue they post about a crappy little house in a bad section of town.

Keep your brand the same. If you are targeting first time home buyers, keep all the houses you post in the same range. You’re not going to post a 3 million dollar listing on a website geared toward a new family.

Keyword Research

We have lots of other posts on this you can find on the blog. But Keyword research helps you find exactly what people want to know. When you see a list of popular searches with the volume and competition it will help you plan your content on a local level.

Here are the best free tools for finding keywords for your real estate website:

  1. Keywords Everywhere (Chrome extension)
  2. TubeBuddy (Chrome Extension for Youtube)
  3. Google Trends
  4. MOZ.com
  5. Ubersuggest

Between those 5 options you will be able to find the best keywords. If you want to really dig in on a pro level you can buy a 7 day trial for 7 dollars at ahrefs.com. Make sure you cancel it before the 7 days are up.

Ahrefs is by far the best tool for keyword research. You can even do reverse engineering on popular sites and break down all their keywords. The things you can do are amazing. I don’t get paid for saying that either.
